Primary Seven visit Hill of The O’Neill and Ranfurly House.

Primary Seven had a wonderful day researching and experiencing life in famine times.

We began our programme by carrying out an investigation into the history of Dungannon Workhouse and the Irish Famine while in the library. We then took part in a living history presentation where we experienced life in  the workhouse. We met Mrs McKinley, the matron of the workhouse, who admitted us to the workhouse. We all agreed we did not want to go the workhouse.
