Today Primary 5 used the scientific concepts of changing liquid to solid and the effects of salt on ice to create their very own vanilla ice-cream!
We used milk, sugar and vanilla flavouring and placed it in a bag with ice.
When there was no change to the mixture we added salt to lower the temperature of the ice making it colder, and after 5 minutes and some very cold hands we had our ice-cream!
