Ian Campbell visited all classes today to tell us about his NI registered charity Ten Foundations. His work is centred in the Philippines and his Livelihood programme provides employment for many families living in extreme poverty. The money they earn enables them to feed their children and send them to school. They make school bags from recycled materials and our children were amazed at how resourceful the workers have been and also how attractive the bags looked. A selection of these bags are on display in the school hall and are for sale. All children received an information leaflet to provide their parents with more information.
