First News is a weekly newspaper for 7 to 14-year-olds which aims to get children talking about the news, written here in an easy to understand and non-threatening way.
It covers issues which are relevant to children and which specifically affect them. Inside you’ll find a mix of world news and UK news and loads of fun stuff, such as entertainment, games, animals, sport and puzzles.
News is all around us and children pick up on news wherever they go. Not all news is bad and there are lots of positive stories covered in this issue. We all need good news too and so celebrate what is good about the world.
We hope you will love the bright, colourful format and fascinating pictures supporting each of the stories. The articles are just the right length to keep children’s attention. And it looks like a newspaper – this should go down really well with the children!
