Eco Council

21st Sep 2018

The boys and girls who will make up our Eco Council for this year were introduced at Assembly today and received their new badges from Mrs Ward.

They are going to be very busy with lots of ideas for making our school more Eco friendly in the coming weeks.

From Monday we will no longer use plastic straw for milk as these straws are harmful to the environment and in particular fish and other sea creatures.

Next week is National Recycling Week so our Eco Councillors will be busy reminding all the classes to recycle all their paper, card and plastic.

The Eco Councillors have already distributed waste food caddies to every class so that the boys and girls can safely dispose of their food waste at break time.

The Eco Council will also be helping to organise and promote Feet First Family Friday which will take place on October 19th.

Our Eco Councillors for this year are;-

Niamh and Dylan P7, Ella and John P6, Caitlin and Stacey LSC2, Ronan and Lucie P5/6, Maeve and Daniel P5, Noah and Lara P4, Ronan and Ella P3 and Matthew P2/3.
