On Thursday our cross country teams braved the elements to participate in the Magherafelt Area stage of the Mid Ulster Council Primary Schools Cross Country Event.
The conditions were extremely wet and mucky underfoot and it was almost like a "mud run"!
Both teams ran really well in two very competitive races. The boys team of Daithi, Mark, Che, Krystian, Odhran, Matus, Dylan and Alexsander all completed the course with and without shoes!
The girls team of Eimhear, Sinead, Kayleigh, Nuala, Barbara, Erin, Cara and Caragh finished in 2nd place overall with Eimhear Scott the star of the day as she led the race from start to finish with a superb run to finish in first place.
The girls will now go on to compete in the Mid Ulster Finals in Cookstown.
